Band Plays Saturday Night Aug 24

The Band (to be announced) has been scheduled for Saturday night Aug 24. Band booking and other considerations have led to the Dine and Dance moving to Saturday. The Meet and Greet evening will be held Friday Aug 23. Both functions will be held at the event tent at Pheasant Glen.

Calls for Entertainment Committees members have gone out to all families. Performers are needed for the Meet and Greet so start rehearsing.

Rumour has it a golf tournament is being organized for Saturday and or Sunday. Golf Committee members are needed.

Accommodation arrangements are on-going. Everyone is, of course free to make their at any time anywhere. Special arrangements are being negotiated with the newly renovated Old Dutch Inn now Qualicum Beach Inn. However, we have no guarantee the renovation will be completed on time. Therefore, the Accommodation Committee is working on group booking deals with the Bayside Quality Inn at Parksville and the Beach Club Resort at Parksville. Both are Resort style full service Hotels.

Many of you will be reading this  soon as a result of Mom sending you an email. Click on the Tabs and you should be able to find Hotels, Motels, Bed and Breakfast places and other interesting things about Qualicum Beach and Bamfield.

Summer is a busy place on Vancouver Island and the west coast. Book early.

We're going to have a whale of a time! Join us for a two part BC celebration beginning in beautiful Qualicum Beach and moving out to spectacular Bamfield. The 80th Birthday celebration festivities with guest of honour Bill start at Qualicum on Thursday August 22nd with a "hi how are you" meet and greet in the tent at Pheasant Glen Golf course, Friday 23rd dine and dance at Pheasant Glen and Saturday golf and BarBQ. 

On Saturday or Sunday (your choice) guests are invited to move out to Bamfield on the west coast of Vancouver Island for part two; the celebration of 59 years of married bliss with guest of honour Donna (honest she said that). 

This Blog will attempt to provide links to accommodation options, and cool BC, Vancouver Island and West Coast, fishing, golfing, kayaking, and other tourist activities.

There will be two fishing boats at Bamfield the entire month of August. There are whale watching tours, kayaking in Pacific Rim National Park, Salmon and Halibut fishing, the famed West Coast  hiking trail, beautiful Pachena beach a mile long sand beach second to none in BC or anywhere, funky Bamfield and even a full blown Salmon Derby on the September long weekend.
